is it possible to connect an HP desktop pc to an ACER laptop computer using a cable? if yes what cable? ?

MY LAPTOP DOES NT HAVE ANY FLOPPY DRIVE N THE CD/DVD DRIVE TOO IS FAULTY SO I TOOK IT OUT BA THE PC WORKS. MA PRB IS: I MISTAKINGLY INSERTED THE OTHER END OF AN USB CABLE INTO THE USB HOLE AND AS SOON AS THE METALS TOUCHED THE PC SHUT DOWN. AT MA NEXT ATTEMPT TO START IT IT SAYS:” windows>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe ” IS DAMAGED SO REINSTALL FROM DE ORIGINAL INSTALLATION DISK, WHICH I HAVE. NOW WITHOUT THE DVD DRIVE NOR FLOPPY DRIVE HOW CAN I DO THIS? CAN I CONNECT MA LAPTOP THRU A CABLE TO THE DESKTOP PC AND INSERT THE DISK THERE TO INSTALL ON THE LAPTOP? IS IT POSSIBLE? THEY R BOTH OF THE SAME OS AND SERVICE PARK. HELP PLZ. THANX.
